Lead Product Designer, Sports
Overview
We’re building a new UAE-based business spanning Sportsbook, Lottery and a broader connected Fan Ecosystem, backed by Fanatics and Momentum. As Lead Product Designer, Sports, you’ll shape the end-to-end experience across Sportsbook and sports-led fan experiences. Your challenge: How do we make sports wagering feel simple, intuitive and built around the moments fans actually care about?
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Trading, Research and Marketing to turn customer insight into high-quality experiences and establish a strong design standard across the domain.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer who can move from ambiguity to clarity quickly. You care about craft, but also about outcomes. You understand sports fans and know how to simplify complex experiences without stripping away depth.
Responsibilities
What you’ll own:
- End-to-end experience across Sportsbook and sports-led journeys
- Discovery, information architecture and interaction design
- Pre-match and in-play experiences
- Discovery and slip tracking
- Fan engagement and sports content surfaces
- Prototyping, validation and customer testing
- Shared design patterns and design quality
Within 12 months, you will have:
- Established a clear design direction for Sports
- Simplified key betting and fan journeys
- Improved usability, conversion and engagement
- Embedded Design earlier into Product discovery
- Created reusable patterns that improve speed and consistency
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Product Design experience with a strong consumer mobile portfolio.
- Experience designing for sports, gaming, media, entertainment, marketplaces or other high-frequency consumer products.
- Strong interaction design, prototyping, research and systems thinking skills.
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering to translate customer insight into high-quality experiences.
- Experience designing complex, data-heavy or real-time consumer experiences.
- Experience establishing design standards and reusable patterns across a product domain.
- Experience leveraging AI to accelerate exploration, prototyping, research synthesis and iteration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Sportsbook or gaming, sports media or fan products, data-heavy or real-time interfaces, design systems, or international consumer products.
