About Us:

ProCreator is a design-led product consultancy working across strategy, design, and development to solve complex digital problems. We work on products and platforms across SaaS, enterprise, BFSI, fintech, IT consulting, and other high-complexity domains.

Role: Lead Product Designer
Experience: 6+ years
Location: Navi Mumbai (Seawoods)
Work Mode: On-site
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview:

We're looking for a Lead Product Designer who can stay hands-on while raising how design works across the team. You'll own product and UX/UI direction on complex, multi-platform projects end to end, from problem framing through polished delivery, while reviewing and mentoring other designers so the whole team ships faster and with more confidence.

You'll also own a piece of our design infrastructure, whether that's the design system, documentation standards, or critique culture, and you'll be the person clients and internal stakeholders trust to explain the "why" behind a decision. AI sits inside how you work day to day: you'll use it to accelerate research, critique, and design operations, and you'll help other designers do the same without cutting corners on quality.

What You Will Own:

  • Lead product and UX/UI work from problem framing through delivery on complex projects, translating user, business, and client needs into flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces across web and mobile.

  • Review, mentor, and unblock other designers, running critiques that raise team quality, confidence, and speed rather than just catching errors.

  • Own or improve a system-level asset, such as the design system, documentation, QA standards, file hygiene, or a recurring design ritual, and be accountable for it getting measurably better.

  • Use feedback, research inputs, and usability thinking to pressure-test design decisions before they ship.

  • Present work to clients and internal stakeholders with clarity and a strong rationale, including when the recommendation is unpopular.

  • Run first-pass research synthesis and heuristic audits with AI, then validate the output against real transcripts and sessions before it shapes a design decision.

  • Use AI to accelerate documentation and critique prep, drafting design-system notes, rationale write-ups, and review agendas so more of the team's time goes to the actual design conversation.

  • Balance multiple live projects and designers' questions without becoming the bottleneck for either.

How AI Shows Up in This Role:

  • Synthesizing first-pass themes from user research transcripts and support tickets before validating them against the raw sessions.

  • Running a first-pass heuristic or UX audit on a flow, then using it as a starting point for your own review, not a substitute for it.

  • Generating rapid wireframe and flow variants to explore a problem space before committing a direction to high fidelity.

  • Drafting design-system documentation, component rationale, and handoff notes so engineering gets clearer specs faster.

  • Building critique prompts and review checklists that other designers can reuse, turning a one-off AI trick into a team habit.

What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days:

  • You independently own design direction on live projects without needing constant rescue.

  • Other designers are visibly using your feedback, structure, or standards to work faster and with more confidence.

  • One part of the design system, documentation, or QA workflow is noticeably stronger because of a contribution you made.

  • Your design files, handoff clarity, and documentation make collaboration smoother across design, product, and engineering.
Clients and stakeholders trust your communication and the rationale behind your calls.

  • You've demonstrated at least one repeatable AI-assisted workflow that improves speed without reducing design quality, and can show a teammate how to run it.

Who You Are:

  • You'd rather fix the root cause than patch the symptom.

  • You give feedback people can actually act on.

  • You stay calm and clear when a client pushes back.

  • You notice when a process is quietly wasting everyone's time.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of relevant UX/UI or product design experience.

  • Direct experience reviewing or mentoring other designers.

  • Experience with client-facing or stakeholder-facing work.

  • Strong UX depth across flows, wireframes, prototyping, interface design, and handoff.

  • Evidence of design-system ownership, scalable component thinking, or process improvement.

  • Experience designing complex digital products across web and/or mobile platforms.

  • A strong portfolio with at least two detailed case studies relevant to complex digital products.

  • Advanced Figma capability, including components, auto layout, design systems, prototyping, and clean file structure.

  • You design AI-assisted workflows for your own craft, know where the tools break down, and raise the bar for how the team uses them.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience across SaaS, enterprise, fintech, BFSI, or multi-role products.

  • Motion or prototyping depth.

  • Experience designing or documenting an AI-assisted workflow that other designers adopted, not just used yourself.

  • Experience contributing to team rituals, critique culture, or quality review systems.

Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Relevant work experience and practical capability will be valued more than academic specialisation.

Interview Process:

1. Application and candidate assessment

2. Recruiter qualification call

3. One-way video interview

4. L1 live task interview (30 minutes)

5. L2 hiring-manager interview

6. L3 founder / leadership round
