Lead Product Manager
Summary
The Lead Product Manager will oversee enterprise cloud infrastructure strategy and modernization, managing roadmaps for Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure environments. This role involves cross-functional leadership to improve cloud adoption, reliability, and security while reducing technical debt.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Manager based in the United States.
This is a strategic, execution-focused product leadership role centered on enterprise cloud infrastructure and modernization.
You will own product strategy, roadmaps, lifecycle management, and adoption across Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure capabilities.
The role sits at the intersection of product management, cloud technology, infrastructure, security, governance, and operations.
You will help modernize legacy environments, reduce technical debt, improve reliability, and accelerate cloud adoption at enterprise scale.
Working as a senior cross-functional leader, you will influence engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, operations, application teams, and technology partners.
The position offers significant autonomy and visibility, with opportunities to advise senior leaders and shape complex technology investments.
This remote role is aligned to designated U.S. IT hub locations and requires strong technical fluency combined with a customer- and outcome-oriented product mindset.
Accountabilities
- Own product strategy and roadmaps: Establish the vision, strategy, roadmap, backlog, and lifecycle plans for cloud infrastructure products, including cloud migrations, provisioning, landing zones, tenant enablement, networking, compute, storage, Kubernetes, automation, observability, resilience, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Lead end-to-end product delivery: Manage infrastructure capabilities from discovery and design through build, implementation, adoption, optimization, ongoing support, and eventual retirement, translating complex technical and operational needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive cloud onboarding and adoption: Improve end-to-end onboarding and migration processes for teams adopting Google Cloud and Azure, coordinating architecture, security, access, provisioning, deployment readiness, resiliency, and operational handoffs.
- Advance modernization and reliability: Partner with engineering and cloud operations teams to modernize infrastructure, strengthen scalability and reliability, improve performance and security, automate provisioning, and create sustainable operational practices.
- Optimize technology investment: Prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk reduction, technical debt, lifecycle exposure, operational impact, compliance, and cost considerations, including opportunities for cloud resource optimization and standardization.
- Lead stakeholder alignment and change: Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes across technical and non-technical stakeholders while supporting training, documentation, adoption, release communications, and operational transitions.
- Influence enterprise technology decisions: Advise senior leaders on cloud strategy, infrastructure dependencies, governance requirements, security considerations, delivery risks, and recommended courses of action while championing the needs of cloud consumers and technology teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional experience: 8+ years of experience in technical product management, infrastructure, IT delivery, cloud technology, technology operations, or a related field, including 3+ years focused on cloud infrastructure migration product or program management.
- Leadership: 2+ years of project, program, product, or cross-functional leadership experience, with the ability to influence teams and make independent decisions on complex enterprise initiatives.
- Product management expertise: Demonstrated experience developing and managing product roadmaps, backlogs, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and lifecycle strategies in complex enterprise environments.
- Cloud and infrastructure knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts such as compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, automation, disaster recovery, resilience, and platform reliability.
- Cloud expertise: Strong subject matter knowledge of Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IT infrastructure, cloud operations, technology lifecycle management, technical debt remediation, or enterprise technology governance, or equivalent technical fluency paired with strong product management experience.
- Agile delivery: Experience applying Agile methodologies to large-scale technology products; familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Release Train environments is a plus.
- Enterprise systems: Familiarity with ServiceNow, application portfolio management, configuration management, lifecycle governance, cybersecurity controls, cloud governance, and enterprise risk management is preferred.
- Analytical ability: Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and operational requirements into scalable solutions and measurable business outcomes.
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, influence senior leaders, facilitate alignment, and navigate competing priorities.
- Preferred credentials: MBA, advanced degree, or relevant certifications in product management, Agile, Google Cloud, Azure, infrastructure, ITIL, ServiceNow, or related technology disciplines.
- Salary: $126,300–$173,700 per year in base pay, depending on geographic location, experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors.
