Lead Project Manager
Summary
Lead a cross-functional team to plan and deliver complex programs in fintech, coordinating engineering, product, operations, and compliance while managing scope, risks, and stakeholder communication.
You will plan and deliver complex, cross-functional programs across engineering, product, operations, and risk and compliance. You will coordinate teams, manage scope and dependencies, establish project management practices, support internal stakeholders, track risks and issues, and communicate program status and resolution paths to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end planning and execution of complex cross-functional programs
- Coordinate engineers, product managers, operations staff, and compliance and risk partners
- Manage scope, schedules, dependencies, and risks
- Manage internal stakeholder expectations
- Build project management practices, tooling, and reporting cadences
- Track risks and issues and maintain RAID logs
- Communicate program health, milestones, dependencies, and risks to leadership
- Escalate issues and propose paths to resolution
Requirements
- U.S.-based with ability to travel as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8–12 years of project or program management experience delivering cross-functional technology initiatives
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or a similar regulated environment
- Experience managing and delivering cross-functional programs
- Exceptional internal client management and verbal communication skills
- Command of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
- Working knowledge of bank payments, technology integrations, and risk and compliance considerations
- Ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification is a plus
