We're looking for experienced Lead Project Managers who can drive the successful delivery of complex capital programmes across our Water, Waste and Infrastructure portfolios. You'll be responsible for leading high-performing teams, managing programme delivery, influencing key stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic leader who can balance programme performance, people leadership and stakeholder management while delivering projects that make a real difference to our customers, communities and environment.

We're looking for an Lead Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team.

HOW WE WORK

Working arrangements vary across our Capital Delivery teams and are agreed on a manager-by-manager basis. As a result, office and home-working expectations may differ depending on the team and role you join.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Proven experience leading the delivery of complex engineering, construction, operational or capital programmes.

· Extensive experience managing multiple projects, budgets, resources and programme risks.

· Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, including Project Managers and wider project delivery professionals.

· Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally.

· Experience working with contractors, suppliers and supply chain partners to successfully deliver programme outcomes.

· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project governance, controls and financial management.

· Experience managing programme performance, resources and strategic priorities.

· Ability to make informed decisions, navigate ambiguity and drive delivery across complex environments.

· Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience delivering large-scale or high-value capital investment programmes.
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC contracts and project management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations, health and safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • APM qualification or equivalent.
  • NEC accreditation.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Environmental or Project Management related discipline.
  • Professional membership (or working towards) with an appropriate body such as ICE, CIWEM or IMechE.

Our Capital Delivery teams deliver a diverse range of projects across our Water, Waste and Infrastructure programmes, helping provide resilient services for millions of customers. As a Lead Project Manager, you'll provide leadership across complex programmes of work, supporting the successful delivery of major capital investment projects while leading teams, managing key stakeholder relationships and driving programme performance across Capital Delivery.
