Position Description
The Lead QA Automation Engineer role at Manifest is responsible for the team and automation that guarantee the reliability of our core platform. Our platform manages millions of dollars in automated advertising buys so we take quality, relability, and stability very seriously. This position requires curiosity, flexibility, creativity, and leadership to make great technical decisions, juggle project requirements, mentor peers, and guide the software architecture that our business is built upon.
This role will have complete autonomy and ownership to guide the future of testing and release management at our company, from people processes to software architecture. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a variety of testing methodologies, but gravitate towards highly automated infrastructure for black/grey-box integration testing. For example, ensuring that specific UI and HTTP API workflows lead to desired outcomes at the persistence layer. This is a primarily hands-on role: you will not immediately manage anyone, but the ideal candidate would be comfortable building a team around themselves over the next 6-12 months.
About Manifest Commerce
At Manifest, we are taking a new approach to advertising: building a product intelligence engine for ads. Our system generates product-level ads across a retailer's entire catalog. It identifies the products with the highest potential and hyper-targets them to exactly the right audience. We do this at scale and automatically across a retailer's entire catalog. We want our ads to be so good that people discover interesting products through them.
Manifest Commerce is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rakuten Marketing USA -- the global ad tech division of one of the largest E-Commerce companies in the world.
