Lead Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) NF-02
Summary
Oversees pool safety and operations at Fort Wainwright, conducting lifeguard duties, managing staff, and ensuring water quality and emergency response.
This position is located at the Aquatics Center on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid. Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals.
Performs lifeguarding duties and limited management functions.
Ensures the safe operation of the pool, filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test.
Provides maximum surveillance of pool area and rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required.
Distributes and balances work- load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy.
Provides leadership, guidance and oversight in program operations.
