Summary

The Lead Security Assessor will provide senior leadership in cyber security architecture and engineering for a federal government department. The role involves designing cloud security architectures, managing the assessment and authorization documentation process, and overseeing a team of security assessors.

Salary: $180K - $190K Per Annum Inc Super

Our Client a large Federal Government Department who’s primary role is to defend Australia and its national interests, promote security and stability, and support the Australian community are looking for a Lead Security Assessor on permanent engagement.

Duties of Lead Security Assessor:

  • Provide senior cyber security architecture and engineering leadership across the security documentation program.
  • Design and validate the system security architecture that underpins the Cloud Products, and confirm that documentation reflects that architecture accurately.
  • Direct the scoping, planning and production of the security and technical assurance documents required to pass the Assessment and Authorisation process, and allocate deliverables to the 2x Senior Security Assessors.
  • Review and quality-assure the documentation produced by the Senior Security Assessors before it is submitted to Client or Defence stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Security architecture design for cloud environments and hyperscale platforms.
  • Engineering background across network architecture, cryptography, identity and access management, and cross domain solutions.
  • Working knowledge of the ISM, the DSPF, and the clients Assessment and Authorisation process.
  • Experience directing or reviewing the work of other security assessors on a documentation program.
