Summary
Designs and implements end-to-end security solutions for cloud and on-premises environments, leads security initiatives (IAM, secrets management, CI/CD), and manages a small engineering team to drive secure development practices and enterprise-wide security adoption.
- Design and implement end-to-end security solutions for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Build, test, and pilot new security environments, frameworks, and components, including proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies.
- Develop and maintain reusable security patterns and reference architectures to streamline development and enhance security controls.
- Manage stakeholder requirements in a dynamic, evolving landscape of technical and customer needs.
- Lead and manage a small team of engineers to deliver on strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Drive security initiatives across key areas such as IAM, secrets management, CI/CD pipeline security, and supply chain security.
- Implement secure secrets management using cloud-native vaults and HashiCorp Vault.
- Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to address security gaps and provide technical implementation guidance.
- Transition new environments and solutions to engineering teams, providing support during adoption phases.
- Define strategy, roadmap, and delivery milestones for security initiatives and ensure successful engineering execution.
- Champion enterprise-wide adoption of security patterns through pilots, scaling efforts, and alignment with stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality technical designs, documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Operate independently at a principal engineer level, influencing architectural decisions and guiding engineering direction.
- Communicate effectively and manage stakeholders, including negotiating requirements and demands.
- Qualifications: Strong background in security architecture, DevSecOps, IAM, secrets/key management, and hands-on experience with CI/CD security, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), HashiCorp Vault, and large-scale engineering leadership.
- Desired: Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in public cloud platforms.
