Summary
Lead the design and development of Thermo Fisher SampleManager solutions, customising workflows and integrations for regulated laboratory environments using C#, .NET, and SQL.
Salary: £140,500 - 140,500 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience with Thermo Fisher SampleManager (v12.1 and/or v21.3)
- Strong development skills in VGL, C#, .NET Framework, and SQL
- Experience configuring and customising SampleManager
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP services, XML, and systems integration
- Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, and version control
- Knowledge of laboratory processes and Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- SC Security Clearance is essential
- Desirable: experience with SampleManager v21.3
- Desirable: experience of LIMS upgrade or migration programmes
- Desirable: knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 17025, or GMP environments
- Desirable: experience working in regulated laboratory settings
- Desirable: public sector experience

- Develop and maintain custom functionality using VGL, C#, .NET, and SQL
- Configure and enhance SampleManager workflows, forms, reports, and integrations
- Design and support integrations with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems
- Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and solution design expertise
- Support testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing system improvements
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
