Lead Software Engineer
Summary
Lead a team to architect and build secure, scalable digital services for AT&T’s customer and employee platforms using Java, Spring, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop secure applications, services and software
- Automate/maintain CICD pipelines, Microservice seed framework, and shared libs
- Responsible for the design and development of various initiatives for AT&T’s customer and employee digital experience
- Support other engineers in the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support
- Collaborate with designers, developers, user experience team, and product owners in order to avail interactive and scalable sites/software
- Identify and keep abreast of new methodologies and technologies that improve quality, reliability, and performance
- Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor software engineers
- Write quality code for automated testing and validation
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Enforce company policies in development methodology, architecture, security, change, and configuration management and compliance
- Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support
- Implement, maintain, and update CICD pipelines
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and improving software
- Managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Collaborating with designers, developers, user experience team, and product owners
- Identifying and keeping abreast of new methodologies and technologies to improve quality, reliability, and performance
- Providing functional and technical leadership and mentor software engineers
- Writing quality code for automated testing and validation
- Enforcing company policies in development methodology, architecture, security, change, and configuration management and compliance
- Performing complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support
- Implementing, maintaining, and updating CICD pipelines
- Applying knowledge in Unit and Function testing using Junit, or Rest Assured
- Utilizing open source Java frameworks for encryption, caching, and authentication
- Working within Agile, Scrum
- Utilizing JDK, Spring, Spring boot, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Groovy, Helm, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana
