At Schuberg Philis, we don’t just deliver IT solutions, we design, build, and run mission-critical systems that our customers rely on every single day. From infrastructure to cloud-native platforms, every layer of technology is crafted with one goal in mind: uncompromising reliability and excellence. We take pride in working shoulder-to-shoulder with our customers, ensuring their most vital operations run smoothly, no matter how complex the challenge.

We are looking for an experienced Backend Python Engineer who can work in the core of our organization with a tightly knit and small DevOps team to deliver business value using modern cloud technologies and a DevOps way of working.

You will work daily within a DevOps team where your colleagues will expect you to maintain a wide overview while guarding aspects like quality, security, and planning.

Our ideal colleague is someone who has experience with:

  • AWS (security, performance, and reliability best practices)
  • AWS CDK and infrastructure-as-code
  • GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines
  • Writing production-ready, testable, and maintainable backend code
  • Strong understanding of security practices and cloud architecture principles
  • Taking ownership of code from development through deployment and operations
  • Affinity for mentoring mid-level developers in a self-steering context
  • Fluency in English required

Nice to have:

  • AWS platform certification
  • Experience with commercial or financial systems
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations (AFAS, Dynamics, or similar)
  • Background in building internal platforms or tooling
  • Experience working in self-steering or holacratic environments
  • Understanding of subscription, pricing, or billing systems
