Lead a team to build scalable C# .NET Core backend services using event-driven architecture and modern Microsoft engineering practices.
Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Expertise in C# .Net Core backend software development
- Experience working on large, scalable systems with complexity
- Strong technical leadership experience, taking ownership of features
- Collaborative and pragmatic mindset, able to influence senior engineers
- Advocate for clean, reusable, and maintainable code
- Knowledge of modern Microsoft software engineering best practices
- Understanding of event-driven architecture
- Thorough knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Appreciation of Azure, SaaS, PaaS, microservices
- Degree educated in a relevant STEM discipline, e.g., Computer Science, with a good grasp of mathematics
- Manage three Agile teams comprising around ten experienced software engineers
- Architect, design, and develop new features and enhancements for a desktop insurance platform
- Ensure high levels of security, reliability, maintainability, usability, and performance
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and other development teams on design and technical choices
- Provide technical ownership in an Agile environment that encourages close collaboration and continual improvement
- Facilitate team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings in our Reigate office twice a week
