Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Lead Software Engineer: ChipStack AI DevOps to be part of the ChipStack AI Super Agent team in Belo Horizonte, working on the world’s first agentic AI platform that autonomously designs and verifies chips with up to 10× productivity gains.
Job Description
- Build automated regression frameworks that guarantee product reliability as AI models and platforms evolve.
- Develop scalable validation frameworks to stress-test agentic AI flows.
- Collaborate with R&D to define validation strategies and quality metrics.
- Reproduce, isolate, and root‑cause complex cross‑domain bugs.
- Apply modern Web development practices and frameworks on Linux, including command line and basic administration.
- Display interest in software engineering: language features, data structures, design patterns, unit testing, and automation tools.
- Validate cloud and on‑prem deployments, ensuring scalability, security, and reproducibility of AI workflows.
- Define acceptance criteria and release readiness metrics.
Requirements
- Complete Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Development.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and strong Version Control knowledge (Git).
- Strong proficiency in Python for test development, automation, and data analysis.
- Technical leadership and strong leadership skills in software quality best practices.
- Strong interest in AI‑driven systems and enthusiasm for working in a fast‑evolving technology landscape.
- Deep commitment to software quality, robustness, and reliability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
Nice To Have
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of performance and API tests.
