About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Software Engineer to guide their cloud solutions team in Randburg . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, resilient cloud-native applications and infrastructure. You will lead a team of talented engineers, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in software architecture, development, and operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based applications and services.
• Oversee the development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of cloud solutions.
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and project requirements.
• Implement and champion DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions in a production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
• Expertise in designing and building microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#).
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
