Lead Software Engineer - Energy Management Systems

About the Role

Our client is seeking an exceptional Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the development of innovative Energy Management Systems (EMS) . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of scalable, high-performance Energy Management Systems using modern software engineering practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the implementation of robust testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes for all software releases.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant software solutions.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and maintainability of the software platform, addressing technical debt proactively.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the EMS product, identifying new features and technological advancements in the energy technology space.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• Extensive experience in backend development (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and modern database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of energy management principles , IoT platforms, and data analytics is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills, essential for remote collaboration.
