Hands-on technical leadership in platform quality, observability, and release engineering.

Drive quality, compatibility, and release readiness for hardened RHEL platforms through automated testing, integration validation, and modern engineering practices across virtualized and containerized environments.

About the Role

As a Lead Linux Platform Validation Engineer, you will help shape the quality and reliability of enterprise Linux platforms that support critical business services. You will build automated validation frameworks, integration testing capabilities, and release assurance processes that enable hardened RHEL platforms to be delivered confidently across physical, virtualized, and containerized environments.

Working across platform engineering, automation, and quality engineering, you will solve complex compatibility challenges spanning operating systems, databases, application platforms, partner agents, and container ecosystems.

What You'll Do

  • Engineer, test, and validate hardened RHEL server images.
  • Build automated validation frameworks and integration test harnesses.
  • Develop CI/CD-driven validation pipelines with measurable quality gates.
  • Validate platform compatibility across VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container runtimes.
  • Improve observability using logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
  • Define compatibility standards, contract tests, and validation criteria with partner teams.
  • Enhance release readiness, reliability, and software supply chain controls.
  • Apply modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tooling to improve quality and engineering productivity.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong hands-on RHEL administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Expertise in automation using Python, Go, Bash, and/or Ansible.
  • Experience designing automated test frameworks and integration validation solutions.
  • Strong CI/CD and release engineering experience.
  • Experience with containers, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of observability platforms, OpenTelemetry, and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building hardened Linux images and image factories.
  • Experience validating database and application platform integrations.
  • Knowledge of SBOMs, artifact signing, supply-chain security, and SLSA.
  • Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical reviews.

Why Join Us?

You'll help define how enterprise Linux platforms are validated, released, and operated at scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with significant influence over platform quality, automation, observability, and release engineering across a modern Linux ecosystem.
