Job Description
What you’ll be doing
As a Lead Engineer, you’ll work closely with Product Owners, Engineers and delivery squads to turn the core banking business needs into technical solutions.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading technical solution design and delivery ensuring alignment with domain architecture strategies
- Providing hands-on engineering support and helping developers resolve technical challenges
- Reviewing code and ensuring solutions meet quality, security and engineering standards
- Identifying technical risks, dependencies and roadblocks and driving these through to resolution
- Embedding effective development, testing and operations practices across the squad
- Supporting root cause analysis, post-incident reviews and the prioritisation of technical defects
- Leading release planning, change sequencing and technical delivery decisions
- Contributing to strategic technical roadmaps in partnership with product and architecture teams
- Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation, standards and processes
- Mentoring engineers and helping uplift technical capability across the team
