Lead Software Test Automation Engineer (Java)

We're on the hunt for an accomplished Lead Software Test Automation Engineer with deep Java skills to become part of our team. In this capacity, you'll architect and sustain dependable automated testing frameworks for web platforms, RESTful APIs, and Salesforce-driven systems, guaranteeing top-tier quality throughout our microservices ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and sustain automated test scripts through the Playwright framework, covering both web applications and RESTful service layers
  • Grasp and verify the behavior of Salesforce-built applications, including custom objects, Apex code, and Lightning components, alongside Java-based microservices
  • Craft and carry out thorough test strategies, incorporating integration and API-level testing for microservices and their associated endpoints
  • Partner with development, product, and QA groups across every phase of the Agile development cycle
  • Carry out full end-to-end validation covering Salesforce customization work, system integrations, Lightning Web Components, and Apex triggers
  • Examine RESTful API documentation and conduct automated API validation using platforms such as Postman or Playwright
  • Keep watch over test run outcomes and diagnose integration breakdowns occurring within CI/CD automation pipelines
  • Log, catalog, and communicate discovered defects through platforms like Jira

Requirements

  • Five or more years spent working in Java-based test automation
  • A minimum of one year guiding and overseeing a team
  • Deep knowledge of how test automation framework architecture is structured
  • Strong command of Playwright and REST Assured tools
  • Capability testing Salesforce applications and working within TestRail
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices and how test planning unfolds iteratively in Scrum or Kanban settings
  • Skill in producing well-defined, reusable test cases derived from requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-diagnosis capabilities
  • Comfort using version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
  • English fluency at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Anthropic Claude
  • Certification as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer
  • Awareness of supporting testing libraries used with Playwright, such as Mocha or Jest
  • Some experience with cloud environments like Azure in the context of hosting microservices
