Your future team
Contract Logistics is a vital part of DSV's global operations, supporting warehousing, distribution, and fulfilment activities across more than 1,600 warehouses worldwide. As a Lead Solution Architect, you will join our Contract Logistics IT organization and collaborate with business and IT leaders across regions to shape strategic technology initiatives.
In this role, you will bridge business strategy, enterprise architecture, and solution delivery, ensuring our technology landscape remains scalable, secure, and future-ready.
Your responsibilities
As our Lead Solution Architect, you will be responsible for driving architectural excellence across strategic transformation initiatives. Your key tasks will include:
Architecture Leadership & Strategy
Lead solution architecture for strategic Contract Logistics transformation programs
Define target-state architectures, technology roadmaps, and transition plans
Drive application consolidation and technology landscape simplification initiatives
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and domain teams to establish architectural standards and governance
Ensure technology decisions balance business value, scalability, security, cost efficiency, and sustainability
Solution Design & Governance
Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and solution designs
Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, integration principles, and business continuity guidelines
Promote API-driven, reusable, and loosely coupled solution designs
Govern complex integrations across modern and legacy platforms
Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT stakeholders
Present architecture strategies, recommendations, and roadmaps to leadership teams
Support vendor assessments and technology evaluations
Drive decision-making across global and cross-functional teams
Leadership & Mentoring
Mentor Solution Architects and senior technical specialists
Promote architectural best practices and reusable design patterns
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing
Delivery & Risk Management
Support delivery teams throughout the entire solution lifecycle
Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical debt
Ensure non-functional requirements such as security, performance, resilience, availability, and cost optimization are addressed
Innovation & Modernization
Drive modernization initiatives leveraging cloud technologies, integration platforms, automation, and AI
Champion cloud-first, API-first, and microservices-based approaches where relevant
Identify opportunities to standardize and simplify the Contract Logistics technology landscape
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced architecture leader who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and confidently influence technology direction at both strategic and operational levels.
To succeed in this role, you likely have:
Extensive experience in IT, including at least 5 years in Solution Architecture, Lead Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture roles
Experience leading large-scale, global transformation initiatives
Proven track record managing complex application landscapes and consolidation programs
Experience working within Contract Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related industries
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and modelling approaches such as ArchiMate
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, integration architecture, security-by-design principles, and IT landscape management
Ability to influence architecture decisions at programme and portfolio level
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Contract Logistics operations will be considered a significant advantage.
