We are looking for a hands-on Lead / Specialist – Backend to lead backend development while actively contributing to building scalable, secure, and high-performing systems using Node.js. The role involves driving technical excellence, mentoring the team, optimizing system architecture and delivering reliable, production-ready solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Lead backend team while staying actively involved in development.
- Design and build scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js.
- Own architecture, performance, and reliability of live products with real users.
- Drive AI/tool adoption and ensure implementation across the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Oversee APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure clear API and system documentation, versioning, and best practices.
- Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools with well-structured prompts for faster and better outcomes.
- 3-5 years of hands-on backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Node.js.
- Proven experience building live, scalable products yourself.
- Solid understanding of APIs, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud, CI/CD, and system design.
- Strong leadership with a “lead by doing” mindset.
- AI Tools: ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools
