Lead Specification Management

As a Lead Specification Management you will oversee the end to end creation, implementation and maintenance of product specifications throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant to the standard quality and regulation.

Your role will connect you to R&D team across Asia and Europe, operating out of Singapore.

We seek a proactive individual driven to deliver results, with a strong passion for managing complex data and the ability to collaborate effectively with local, regional and global stakeholders

Key responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategy

 Lead R&D specification management function across different operating companies, aligning with business strategy and global PLM Way of Working.

 Drive implementation of PLM specification WoW within BG Asia opcos.

 Serve as primary contact for specification-related WoW and system enhancement on BG level.

 Acting as BG Asia’s representative within the Global Specification Management Community to shape strategic direction, establish ways of working (WoW), and foster alignment across diverse business groups

 Functionally supervise a group of specification specialists in the region.

2. System oversight

 Support implementation of digital transformation initiatives to automate and streamline specification processes.

 R&D owner of BG Asia specification portfolio, ensuring up-to-date, high quality & compliant to regulation and company’s quality standard.

 Create & review procedure, work instruction and training materials

3. Process Improvement

 Identify opportunities to streamline specification workflows and automate data management processes.

 Actively contributes to new system design and is responsible for implementation in BG Asia R&D.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

 Partner with various stakeholders like Digital, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs and Supply chain to ensure specifications meet operational and compliance needs.

 Way of working design and alignment with relevant stakeholders, to ensure practicality, enhance efficiency and minimize manual effort

5. BG Asia Key user Lead

 Build Key User capability & knowledge among Key User Opcos.

 Provide technical support to local Key Users and regional BG Asia end user

6. Document Management

 Develop and maintain a robust document management system to streamline storage, retrieval and sharing of information in digital platform.

Qualifications and education requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in food science, Dairy Technology, Engineering, chemistry, other relevant science field.

• Minimum 10 years experience in specification management in FMCG industry

• Strong understanding of SAP PLM modules, including Specification Management, preferably having experience as being a super user.

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining data within a complex system.

• Familiarity with Dairy industry requirements related to product development and lifecycle management is a plus.

• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements related to specification management.
