Lead System Analyst (Payment App)

Location: Head Office : RAMA3, Hybrid Work Onsite 2 Days/Week

Key Responsibilities

1. System Analysis & Solution Design

• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Prepare System Design, Technical Specifications, Impact Assessments, and Solution Recommendations.

• Assess impacts across online systems, batch processing, interfaces, databases, and related applications.

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security standards, and business objectives.

2. Production Support & Incident Management

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex production incidents impacting critical banking services.

• Analyze system logs, job outputs, abend/return codes, file status, dumps, and CICS responses to identify root causes.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Coordinate system recovery, batch restart/rerun, and incident resolution within agreed SLAs.

3. Application Development & Enhancement

• Lead and provide technical guidance for Mainframe application development, enhancement, and maintenance.

• Review technical designs, program specifications, code quality, and implementation approaches.

• Drive coding standards, development best practices, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure application deliverables meet quality, performance, and security requirements.

4. Testing & Release Management

• Oversee Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Production Deployment.

• Review test evidence and ensure testing completeness and quality.

• Prepare and review implementation, deployment, rollback, and backout plans.

• Support production implementation and post-deployment stabilization.

5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with Business, Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Project Teams, and external Vendors.

• Act as a key technical representative in project discussions and issue resolution.

• Monitor vendor deliverables, timelines, and quality.

• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.

6. Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

• Coach and provide technical guidance to System Analysts, Developers, and Support Teams.

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and strengthen technical capabilities within the team.

• Establish and maintain development, support, and documentation standards.

7. Mainframe Modernization & Continuous Improvement

• Support Mainframe Modernization, System Integration, and Digital Transformation initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, and application reliability.

• Contribute to API, DevOps, and application modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

• 8–10+ years of experience in Mainframe Application Development, System Analysis, or Production Support.

• 3–5+ years of experience in a Lead System Analyst, Technical Lead, or equivalent leadership role.

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and related Mainframe technologies.

• Strong understanding of Batch Processing and Online Transaction Processing.

• Proven experience in production incident management, RCA, and working under SLA-driven environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage:

• Banking Applications

• Payment Systems / Bulk Payment Processing

• Automatic Transfer Systems

• Clearing & Settlement

• Reconciliation

• Mainframe Integration

• REST APIs / Web Services

• Mainframe Modernization & Legacy Transformation
