Position Summary

The Lead Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Site Impact’s internal IT environment, ensuring employees have reliable, secure, and well-supported technology. This role serves as a hands-on operational leader—managing helpdesk and endpoint support, maintaining office networks and hardware, administering core productivity platforms, cloud platforms, and coordinating with vendors on routine operational matters. The Lead Systems Administrator is the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT issues across the organization, escalating complex infrastructure or security concerns as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of escalation for IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the organization.

Administer and maintain Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft 365, including user provisioning, access management, and license tracking.

Administer and support the company's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, including project and IAM access management, resource monitoring, and day-to-day operational maintenance.

Manage and maintain office network infrastructure, including switches, Wi-Fi access points, VPN, and printers, ensuring reliable day-to-day performance.

Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets; coordinate procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of employee devices.

Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including device setup, account provisioning, and access revocation.

Provide frontline support for AI-assisted workplace tools, including Claude and Google Workspace AI (Gemini), helping employees use these tools effectively.

Coordinate with external vendors and managed service providers on day-to-day operational tasks, escalating contract or relationship decisions.

Assist in enforcing IT security policies, including endpoint protection, patching, and basic compliance hygiene across the internal environment.

Maintain documentation for IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Support disaster recovery and business continuity procedures under the guidance of leadership.

Assist with IT projects and initiatives as directed, including system upgrades, tool rollouts, and internal infrastructure improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

4–6 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related hands-on IT role.

Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and Slack administration, with the ability to manage users, groups, and settings independently.

Solid understanding of the Google Cloud Platform, IAM, resource monitoring and infrastructure.

Solid understanding of office networking fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, VLANs, VPN, and DNS basics.

Experience with endpoint management across macOS and Windows environments.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support non-technical employees patiently and clearly.

Organized and detail-oriented, with experience maintaining IT documentation and asset records.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, or Azure at an operational or support level.

Familiarity with the Jira/Atlassian ecosystem, including basic administration.

Exposure to cybersecurity concepts such as endpoint protection, MFA enforcement, and phishing awareness programs.

Experience in a digital marketing, ad tech, or comparable technology-driven environment.

Familiarity with DNS management platforms such as Cloudflare is a plus.
