WHY WORK WITH US:
If you’re looking for a place where your work truly matters and you feel valued, you’ll love being part of the Woodson YMCA Child Care team. Here you become part of a mission-driven team dedicated to helping every person reach their full potential and creating a healthier, more connected community for all.

At the Y, you’re not just supervising a classroom, you’re helping children learn through play, supporting families, and creating a space where everyone feels they belong. You’ll be surrounded by a team who care deeply about children, each other, and our community. We’re here to support you with competitive pay and benefits, ongoing training, and a schedule that respects your life beyond work.

We know great teachers come from all backgrounds. If you’re warm, patient, and passionate about helping children grow, you’ll fit in wonderfully at the Woodson YMCA.

YOUR IMPACT IN THIS ROLE:
At the Woodson YMCA, we believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and inspired, and the same is true for our Child Care Team. In this role, you’ll create a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning environment while following Wisconsin Licensing Regulations and modeling our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position that comes with a robust benefits package.

• Help ensure staffing during our Monday-Friday, 6:30am-6:00pm open hours
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and positive guidance of all children in your care
• Help plan, lead, and implement engaging daily activities
• Follow the classroom schedule and program expectations
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and staff
• Maintain awareness of each child’s location and needs at all times
• Communicate effectively with families while respecting confidentiality
• Model the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
• Be diligent in meeting child care licensing rules
• Create weekly lesson plans with appropriate curriculum
• Perform other duties as assigned
