Lead Technology Consultant(Technical Lead) – Software Development Team
Lead the development and delivery of Java-based solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with the Team Manager – Java Development, project teams, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software components and integrations using modern Java frameworks and best practices
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with coding standards and design principles
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers to build capabilities within the team
- Participate in defining and improving development processes, tools, and frameworks
- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure alignment with SIL’s enterprise architecture
- Support project estimation, planning, and delivery activities by providing technical inputs and recommendations
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing, quality control, and proper documentation of solutions
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to Java development
- Assist the Team Manager in ensuring timely delivery of projects and smooth coordination within the team
- Carry out such acts as shall be required for the proper fulfilling of duties listed under items above

Qualifications
- A master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related IT discipline with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Java application development with exposure to team leadership or mentoring.
Other Qualifications
- Strong command of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
- Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js) will be an advantage
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and cloud environments
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
