Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead UI/UX Designer with broad approach to game interface development: someone who can not only design great screens, but also bring the UI to polish alongside a team of designers, artists, programmers, and game designers.

We need a leader who understands that in-game UI is not just layouts, but an integral part of the player experience, production, and technical execution.

TASKS:

  • Design new interfaces for a hardcore CRPG based on a tabletop RPG system

  • Design interfaces for complex game systems featuring heavy text, dense content, multiple states, actions, and consequences

  • Maintain and evolve existing project interfaces

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary UI team (designers, engineers, artists)

  • Work in close collaboration with game designers, artists, gameplay programmers, and QA engineers

  • Act as the owner of UI quality across the project

  • Handle task planning, estimation, risk management, and quality control for the UI department

  • Adapt interfaces for gamepad controls and cross-platform requirements

  • Work with player feedback, QA, UX testing, and analytics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Passion for creating games you genuinely want to play

  • Solid gaming background on PC and consoles

  • Clear understanding of the UI implementation pipeline within game engines

  • Hands-on technical experience inside a game engine (layout, scripting/coding)

  • High autonomy, accountability, and the drive to take ownership of features

  • Team management and planning experience

  • Deep understanding of core UX principles, information architecture, and user flows

  • Ability to articulate and defend design decisions based on player experience, game design goals, and project business needs

  • Experience designing complex, content-heavy interfaces

  • Understanding of typography, information hierarchy, player actions, and systemic feedback/consequences

  • Proficiency with graphic design tools

  • Strong ability to collaborate with developers and account for technical constraints

  • Understanding of modularity, component reusability, and performance optimization

  • Russian language skills at B2 level are necessary due to the team’s Russian-language production pipeline and internal communication.

BENEFITS:

  • Comfortable offices (if you want to work from office) fitted with areas for recreation and games, coffee points, and snacks;

  • Convenient work schedule: adjust work time to your preferences and/or work remotely;

  • Strong internal community: we are passionate about what we do. Outside of work, we engage in activities together like playing tabletop games in the office or on Roll20;

  • Environment for personal growth: work together with the best professionals and enjoy the benefits of our developed mentoring system and training courses;

  • Competitive salary based on the interview, opportunities for career growth.
