Join Our Team

Our team works collaboratively to deliver efficient, effective, and enjoyable experiences that help customers meet their goals. We create solutions for small business customers and pros to build & grow secure, performant, beautiful websites. As a Lead UX designer on our team, you’ll be the point of contact for development and product teams while supervising projects through the creative process and ensuring that deadlines and experience standards are met.

As a Lead UX Designer on GoDaddy’s Web Designers & Developers (WDD) & Security team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the Hub experience, partnering with world-class Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to define product vision, transform customer insights into intuitive and scalable solutions, and drive measurable business impact. You’ll lead discovery efforts, influence product strategy, mentor designers, and champion modern design practices, including the thoughtful use of AI, to create seamless, customer-centered experiences backed by research, experimentation, and data that help web professionals efficiently manage and grow their businesses.

What you'll get to do...

  • Design and deliver customer-centered experiences that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints, solving complex problems through innovative thinking, experimentation, and AI-assisted design methodologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, researchers, designers, and stakeholders to shape product strategy, communicate design decisions, and ensure successful delivery of intuitive and impactful experiences.
  • Create scalable and accessible design solutions across multiple products, touchpoints, customer segments, and regions by using reusable patterns, design systems, systems thinking, and clear UX documentation, including customer journeys, interaction models, and specifications.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate rapidly using low- and high-fidelity prototypes, including AI-enabled and vibe-coded approaches, validating concepts through research, experimentation, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead complex initiatives from discovery through delivery while fostering design excellence, championing the thoughtful use of AI, mentoring and supporting designers, contributing to design critiques and research initiatives, and driving meaningful customer and business outcomes in a fast-paced agile environment.

Your experience should include...

  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering customer-facing digital products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating UX expertise across web and mobile applications, critical thinking, measurable impact, and successful product launches.
  • Advanced UX, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping skills, with hands-on experience using modern design tools such as Figma, AI-powered design platforms, and vibe coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to rapidly explore and validate ideas.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Research, and end users, to translate customer needs into intuitive and effective solutions.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making, build alignment, present design rationale, and thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and research methodologies, including user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic evaluation, accessibility, and data-driven design iteration, with the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes autonomously.

You might also have...

  • Experience designing AI-powered or AI-assisted product features (e.g., recommendations, copilots, generative assistance) — beyond individual project scope.
  • Experience mentoring other designers or beginning to guide the work of others, even informally.
  • Experience influencing product or design strategy beyond your immediate team.
  • BA or MA degree in Design, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field — or equivalent practical experience. Experience with micro-interactions and animations is a plus.

We encourage you to apply even if your experience or skills don’t align perfectly with every requirement. We value a wide range of backgrounds and transferable skills, and we are excited to support learning and growth.
