LEAD Warehouse Laborer

Technica is looking to hire a Warehouse Laborer Lead that perform work at Fort Belvoir and the Pentagon.

Work hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Work begins at the Fort Belvoir location.

Job Summary:

• Performs a variety of laborer duties requiring an understanding of the establishments storage plan.
• Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Oversees the storage and distribution operations.
• Directs employees engaged in Warehousing Operations using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems.
• Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on weekly or monthly basis.
• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Project Supervisor.
• Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
• Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
• Conducts timesheet review and leave requests for company employees
• Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and conditions of the contract.

Requirements:

• Uses DSS and other Government Data Systems resolving common error conditions, responds to computer output instructions or error conditions, following standard operating procedures.
• Must have the ability to be cleared for a NACI clearance to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Must be comfortable using electronic timekeeping software
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up 50 lbs
• Must be able to work in an environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold.
• Have the ability to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) of various types to include stand-up and sit-down forklifts
• Must have reliable transportation to both work sites, Pentagon and Fort Belvoir
