Description:
The Lead Warehouse Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role serves as team lead, providing guidance, training, and support to warehouse staff while driving productivity and continuous improvement.
What you will be responsible for:
Material Receiving & Distribution
Receive incoming materials and ensure proper verification, documentation, and system entry
Stock materials in designated warehouse locations in accordance with inventory procedures
Deliver materials to hangars and operational areas in a timely manner to support production needs
Assist in all receiving and material handling functions as required
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Performing AAR cycle counts in accordance with established schedules and procedures
Ensure cycle counts are completed accurately and within required timelines
Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in identifying root causes
Conduct research to locate and resolve missing or misplaced materials
Returns & Restocking
Process material returns within the required guidelines.
Ensure returned materials are properly inspected, documented, and restocked into inventory locations
Upon aircraft delivery, verify that all materials are returned and accurately restoked
Material Staging & Support
Pick, stage, and deliver pre-draw materials as requested to support maintenance operations
Assist with urgent material requests to minimize operational delays
Support cross-functional teams as needed to maintain workflow efficiency
System & Location Management
Create and maintain warehouse storage locations within AAR’s ERP system.
Ensure all materials are stored in correct locations and properly labeled in the system
Secondary Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety, compliance, and company procedures related to material handling
Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and operational needs and staff.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Minimum
Experience in warehouse, inventory control, or material handling preferred
Working knowledge of inventory systems (IMOPS or similar ERP systems preferred)
Basic understanding of inventory processes such as cycle counting and stock management.
Understanding of vendor paperwork in aviation.
Basic knowledge of Hazmat requirements and storage requirements.
Ability to lift and move materials as required in a warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer and data entry skills
