The Lead Workfront System Administrator will serve as the primary expert for Adobe Workfront and related workflow technologies across a complex organization.
This role combines hands-on platform administration with business process consulting, automation, reporting, and continuous improvement.
You will translate business and marketing requirements into scalable workflows, integrations, dashboards, and governance solutions.
Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will improve operational efficiency, visibility, standardization, and user experience.
The position offers significant ownership of platform strategy, configuration, adoption, data quality, and workflow optimization.
You will also evaluate emerging capabilities, including AI and automation, to modernize how teams plan and execute work.

Accountabilities:
- Own the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing performance of Adobe Workfront and related workflow technologies.
- Manage Workfront portfolios, programs, groups, teams, layouts, custom forms, request queues, workflows, permissions, and other platform configurations.
- Maintain platform stability, scalability, data integrity, security, and governance standards while proactively identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Partner with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business processes, identify pain points, and translate requirements into scalable Workfront solutions.
- Facilitate workflow discovery and requirements-gathering sessions and document current-state and future-state processes.
- Design and implement workflows, automations, process improvements, and standardized operating practices that improve productivity, visibility, consistency, and operational excellence.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, executive metrics, and analytics that support decision-making and provide transparency into workflow performance, capacity, compliance, and adoption.
- Establish and maintain reporting standards, naming conventions, metadata structures, and data governance practices to ensure accurate and consistent information.
- Design, develop, monitor, and troubleshoot Workfront Fusion automations and integrations with connected business systems.
- Evaluate new Workfront capabilities, automation opportunities, AI applications, and emerging technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and user experience.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Workfront support, troubleshooting complex platform, workflow, access, and integration issues.
- Manage user administration, permissions, access controls, and license allocation while maintaining appropriate governance.
- Develop and deliver training programs, onboarding resources, best-practice guidance, and support documentation to increase platform adoption.
- Gather user feedback and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve the Workfront experience and address evolving business needs.
- Evaluate platform releases and enhancements, coordinating testing, validation, deployment, and change management for configuration updates.
- Maintain comprehensive platform documentation, governance standards, process maps, technical designs, and solution documentation.
- Conduct periodic system audits and data-quality reviews to identify inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage multiple projects and process-improvement initiatives while balancing competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on Adobe Workfront administration experience within a complex business or enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Workfront administration, configuration, reporting, workflow design, dashboards, custom forms, request queues, permissions, and platform governance.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflow solutions, process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational-efficiency programs.
- Experience building and maintaining Workfront Fusion automations and integrations; familiarity with APIs and connected enterprise systems is preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise marketing operations, business process management, or comparable workflow-intensive environments is preferred.
- Experience with Workfront Planning is a plus.
- Adobe Workfront certifications are advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in text-mode reporting, dashboards, custom forms, request queues, workflow configuration, and data-management practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex platform and process issues.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while balancing user experience, governance, performance, and operational needs.
- Strong understanding of business process improvement, workflow optimization, automation, and operational excellence principles.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and consulting skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience delivering user training, onboarding, documentation, and adoption programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Expected annual pay range of $78,000–$125,350, with actual compensation determined by relevant experience, geographic location, and other applicable factors.
