Lean Transformation Manager - Operational Excellence

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Lean Transformation to lead process improvement initiatives across our Japan operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, enhancing efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will identify operational inefficiencies, implement structured problem-solving methodologies such as Lean and Kaizen, and collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business performance improvements.

Key responsibilities include leading company-wide Kaizen initiatives, facilitating workshops and training, developing KPIs to sustain improvements, and ensuring compliance with operational policies and quality standards.

This position works closely alongside the President, providing a unique opportunity for rapid professional growth and strategic influence. It also offers a clear promotional path to an Operations Director role, ideal for candidates eager to expand their leadership impact.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience leading process improvement initiatives in complex operational environments
  
• Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving methodologies
  
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage organizational change
  
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data insights into actionable plans
  
• Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Japanese
  
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent Lean certification preferred
  
• Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or laboratory operations is a plus
  
• Demonstrated capability in coaching and training teams in continuous improvement techniques
  
• Experience working with international stakeholders and driving global best practices preferred
