Salary: From $42.75 an hour inc of 25% Casual Loading

What You’ll Be Doing
You will:
- Deliver purposeful, engaging swimming lessons across skill levels
- Maintain the highest standard of safety and supervision
- Adapt class techniques to meet program updates and learning needs
- Support the implementation of new skill criteria
- Keep qualifications current through training and development
- Recognise hazards, incidents and report concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate student progress records on internal systems
- Work collaboratively with other instructors and senior staff
- Provide guidance to new instructors or prac students when needed
- Share customer feedback and contribute to program improvements
- Perform additional duties as required within program guidelines

What You’ll Bring
You’re patient, supportive and passionate about teaching water safety. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Austswim/RLSS Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety certification (essential)
- Working With Children Check, CPR & First Aid (essential)
- Knowledge of swim teaching principles and biomechanics (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation and lesson‑planning skills
- Experience working with children (desirable)
- Experience teaching in an aquatic facility (desirable)
- Additional aquatic qualifications such as Infant Aquatics, Bronze Medallion or Competitive Strokes (desirable)
- National Police Clearance (essential)
Additional requirements:
- Experience instructing baby swim lessons
- Availability on evenings and weekends
