Learning And Development Supervisor

Purpose of the job

Deliver and administer functional and non-functional training courses, as well as design and develop all developmental activities for relevant accounts.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct training sessions as part of the functional training plan.
  • Evaluate the new hires in the induction through different assessments and role plays.
  • Ensure regular updates to the materials.
  • Design and conduct training sessions according to new products/services offering and promotions, including their reflections on the customer interface systems.
  • Conduct regular refresher sessions to cover the gaps and areas of enhancement.
  • Design and conduct training sessions for soft skills.
  • Ensure standard quality checks of training delivery and administration as per the department's policies.
  • Assist in the administration of training programs.
  • Ensure consistent information and skill delivery in all training activities provided to employees.
  • Keep training material updated with new products and services or any other related changes.
  • Issue activities and progress reports to document work processes.
  • Revise all sources of information to ensure updated data collection and knowledge.
  • Design and implement functional academies with their related structure and content.
  • Work on RFPs and review suppliers' proposals.
  • Handle supplier relations and related logistics.
  • Develop all related forms and communication templates; handle branding of materials, logos, and events when needed.
  • Communicate and interface with interns, mentors, and internal trainees.
  • Handle all supplier-related communications and logistics such as stationery, payment, pre- and post-course actions.
  • Maintain records and prepare statistical reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of trainees.
  • Track the training budget versus expenses for the concerned departments.
  • Develop channels to stay connected with employees and assess potential needs.

Job specification

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in telecom/communications engineering or business informatics.
  • Certificate or diploma in HR or training is preferred; or previous training experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, 3 of which in a similar field in a corporate environment.
  • Good knowledge of training providers in Egypt and the Middle East.
  • Good knowledge of learning and development tools and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of all technical operations within a telecom operator (mobile networks, GSM, LTE, VoIP, IT).
