Job Description

  • Coordinate and oversee academic schedules, timetables, examinations, and related academic activities to ensure efficient program delivery.
  • Monitor and manage academic calendars, ensuring adherence to institutional timelines and academic requirements.
  • Provide professional guidance and support to students on academic policies, course selection, progression, and program requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison between students, academic staff, cross function departments / teams and campus management, facilitating effective communication on academic matters.
  • Coordinate examination administration processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the integrity of academic records.
  • Prepare and maintain academic reports, records, and documentation, while supporting admissions, student orientation, and graduation processes.
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and other academic activities related to Science and Engineering programmes.



Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of industry/lecturing experience in higher education setting or a bachelor's and a master's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science OR a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of lecturing experience in higher education setting.
  • Experience in academic coordination, student support or academic administration will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of university-level modules, assessments and academic quality standards.
  • Excellent command of English - both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage academic databases and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to counsel, mentor and guide students.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
