Lecturer (Hospitality Management)

Job Summary

Deliver part-time lectures to full-time students in hospitality and tourism management, focusing on hospitality technology, data analytics, and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lectures on hospitality technology, sales and marketing, project management, MICE, human resource management, and analytics to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Design and update lesson plans, lecture materials, and practical exercises integrating Property Management Systems (PMS), hospitality analytics, and relevant industry tools
  • Develop and administer quizzes, examinations, practical tasks, and project briefs aligned with course learning objectives
  • Grade student assignments and projects promptly, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and industry readiness

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Technology, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in tertiary or vocational education environments
  • Proven industry experience in hospitality technology, operations, or management


Engagement Parameters

  • Typically in blocks of 3 hours at an hourly rate to-be-determined
  • Initial engagements may be 1-3 days per week
  • Additional roles of second-marking may be compensated separately
