We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Agriculture to join our dedicated team at Gelli Aur Campus, one of Wales' leading land-based education centres. You'll deliver engaging classroom and practical teaching across a range of agriculture programmes from Level 1 through to Honours Degree, helping learners develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the industry.

Working alongside experienced colleagues and industry partners, you'll contribute to an innovative curriculum that reflects the future of Welsh agriculture while supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

  • Undertake the teaching, assessment and co-ordination of programmes of study leading to qualifications within a wide range of Agriculture courses from Level 1 to Honours Degree. You will need to be able to deliver both in a classroom and demonstrate safe systems of working in the delivery of practical sessions;
  • Contribute to the management of this subject area;
  • Provide support, as a member of the team in the administration and resource development within the Section at Gelli Aur and assist with the development of teaching & learning materials;
  • Assist in the provision of Agriculture through liaison with industry and in the development of commercial courses;
  • Contribute to the quality of provision through the internal verification system;
  • Prepare relevant teaching & learning materials for assigned subjects;
  • Prepare resource material and facilities in support of the assigned teaching;
  • Contribute to course team functional requirements;
  • Undertake all assessment activity to assigned subjects;
  • Ensure all classroom and practical training facilities comply with health and safety and other legislative requirements;
  • Liaise with third party stakeholders as identified by faculty management, including, sector skills councils, HE institutions, industry bodies, employers etc
  • A relevant agriculture qualification.
  • A passion for teaching and developing future talent.
  • Strong practical and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
