Robotics and automation are no longer the future. They are the present. As industries accelerate their transformation, the engineers who will lead this change are sitting in classrooms today. We are looking for an educator who is ready to inspire them.

The School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering is seeking a Lecturer in Mechatronics & Robotics, someone who brings both technical depth and a genuine passion for teaching, and who wants their work to matter beyond the classroom.

[What you will be working on]

What You Will Do

This is a role with real breadth and real impact. You will design and deliver courses for full-time students, adult learners, and industry professionals, bringing the realities of modern manufacturing into every lesson. You will mentor students through their academic journeys and support their growth as both engineers and individuals.

Beyond teaching, you will stay at the forefront of your field through applied research and consultancy, collaborate with industry partners to create meaningful learning experiences, and contribute to curriculum and institutional initiatives that keep our courses relevant and forward-looking.

What You Will Teach

You should be competent in one or more of the following areas:

  • Robotics and Automation.
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • 2D/3D Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD).
  • C/C++ or Python Programming.

What You Bring

A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline is required. We value at least two years of relevant industry experience in areas such as automation, manufacturing, or Industry 4.0, though we warmly welcome fresh graduates who bring strong technical foundations and a clear commitment to education.
