Legal and Compliance Lawyer

• Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in the payments industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in both Maltese and English
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a team player mentality
  

Legal Duties:

• Contract review and drafting
• Research on legality of merchants’ business models
• Contract negotiation with merchants, partners, suppliers etc.
  

Compliance Duties:

• Liaising with business owners to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements including AML/FT requirements
• Formulate recommendations and action plans to ensure any potential noncompliance is addressed and rectified
• Ensure that new regulatory requirements are adequately being addressed by the company
