Legal Assistant – Foreclosure Sales & Post‑Sales

Diaz Anselmo & Associates, P.A. is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Foreclosure Sales and Post-Sale team. This is a great fit for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys guiding files from sale scheduling all the way through post-sale completion.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare, review, and file foreclosure sale documents, notices, bidding instructions, and sale confirmations
- Coordinate smoothly with courts, sheriffs, auctioneers, vendors, and other outside parties
- Keep a close eye on sale timelines to make sure every deadline is met on time
- Run bankruptcy checks, military status lookups, and basic legal research
- Back up our attorneys and answer client questions with professionalism and ease
- Review property info, legal descriptions, tax records, and lien details to ensure everything is accurate
- Keep our Case Management System and client portals up to date with clean records
- Handle post-sale tasks like preparing deeds, processing surplus funds, and filing confirmations
- Pitch in with electronic filings, mailings, and day-to-day admin tasks as needed
What You Bring
- 1 to 3 years of Legal Assistant experience, ideally in foreclosure, real estate, or default servicing (hands-on foreclosure sale experience is a huge plus!)
- A Paralegal Certificate, Associate Degree, or related legal education
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Clear, friendly communication skills—both written and verbal
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat in a busy environment
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently while being a great team player
Work Environment
This is an office-based role where you will be on the computer a lot, often managing multiple systems and screens at once. It’s a busy, deadline-driven place to work, but there is plenty of room to learn and grow.
