Legal Assistant

Under the supervision of the Senior Paralegal, the Legal Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Legal Affairs Department, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Maintain and update departmental file lists, tracking logs, calendars, and governance tools.
Provide administrative support to lawyers and paralegals, including:

Compiling and organizing legal documents.
Coordinating legal files and departmental activities.
Coordinating document execution and obtaining signatures.
Drafting ancillary agreements, amendments, correspondence, letters, and extension agreements.

Perform any other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or a vocational diploma (DEP) in Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
Bilingualism required: English and French, both written and spoken.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills are considered an asset) and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Versatile, resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills with strong active listening abilities.
