LEGAL ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION)

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the administrative aspects of the Airman Discharge Program. Provides legal assistance, administrative, and office automation services to support the military and civilian attorneys and other legal specialists assigned to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate

Works with Commanders and first sergeants to discuss and prepare administrative discharge packages for the separation of military personnel from the Air Force Prepares weekly and monthly reports on the status of all discharge cases and board hearings. Analyzes trends and trouble shoots the areas where a break down in the procedure occurs Provides legal support for Staff Judge Advocate and other staff attorneys Performs duties as the Victim and Witness Assistance (VWAP) Coordinator
