Burg Simpson Legal Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the support of Shareholder and senior-level attorneys in a pre-litigation and litigation environment; conduct conflict checks, set-up and assist with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; request of medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in both state and federal courts; identify, calculate and calendar state and federal deadlines (docketing); scheduling of client meetings, depositions, meetings, hearings, and travel. Legal Assistants have direct client contact.
