Join Our Growing Team!

As we continue to expand, we're looking for four Legal Departmental Support Executives to join our newly established Post Completion Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the success of our Real Estate practice, providing specialist administrative and technical support once property transactions have completed. Working within a collaborative, centralised team, you'll take ownership of post-completion activities including Land Registry registrations, SDLT submissions, requisition management, filings and compliance processes, ensuring every matter is progressed accurately and efficiently.

You'll work closely with legal teams, clients and external organisations, helping to drive transactions through to successful registration while delivering an outstanding service across our Built & Natural Environment Division and national office network.

If you're highly organised, detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. Be part of a team that's making a real impact behind the scenes and helping deliver excellence for our clients every day.

Key responsibilities

  • Submission of applications to HM Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.
  • SDLT, Land and Buildings Transaction Tax and Land Transaction Tax administration and submissions.
  • Registration of transfers, (and dispositions in Scotland) leases, charges, (and standard securities in Scotland) easements (and Servitudes in Scotland) and other property interests.
  • Management of requisitions raised by HM Land Registry and Registers of Scotland.
  • Preparation and submission of post-completion documentation.
  • Monitoring registration progress and ensuring statutory and contractual deadlines are met.
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, local authorities, HM Land Registry and other third parties regarding registration matters.
  • Maintaining accurate matter records and reporting on registration status.
  • Supporting compliance, risk management and audit requirements relating to property transactions.
  • Managing large volumes of post-completion work across a varied Real Estate caseload.

Your skills and qualifications

  • Experience of working within a legal, property or conveyancing
  • Experience of managing a varied workload with competing priorities and fixed deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate work consistently.
  • Good organisational and matter-management skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, investigate straightforward issues and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence working with legal teams and relevant external organisations.
  • Ability to work independently within agreed procedures while contributing positively to a team.
  • Good digital skills and the ability to learn and use multiple systems.
  • Commitment to delivering a reliable, responsive and client-focused service.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career within legal support assisting our Real Estate Division. It is not designed as a pathway to a solicitor role as we have alternative qualification progression routes.
