Legal Assistant (Transnational Organized Crime)

As a senior assistant, you will support Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a variety of legal assistance and office support services. Duties include: - Provides expert advice on complex organized crime and drug investigations and prosecutions. - Serves as a legal assistance subject matter expert and provides training and guidance to other support staff. - Maintains current knowledge of regulations, laws applicable to domestic and international drug trafficking and associated organized crime. - Provides a variety of direct legal support to one or more AUSAs. - Prepares a wide variety of legal documents, many of which are voluminous and complex in format. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
