Legal Associate - Civil & Commercial Litigation

Summary

Assists experienced litigators in Singapore with civil and commercial litigation, including court hearings, drafting legal documents, and managing case files via eLitigation.

Our client is a well-established legal practice in Singapore. seeking a Legal Associate to join its Civil & Commercial Litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on a broad range of contentious matters, with structured mentoring and exposure to court proceedings.

  • Assist in managing civil and commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution.
  • Attend court hearings, Case Conferences, Pre-Trial Conferences, mediations and other litigation-related proceedings.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, correspondence and Letters of Demand.
  • Conduct legal research and provide case analysis to support ongoing matters.
  • Prepare litigation bundles and manage court filings via eLitigation.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel and relevant stakeholders while ensuring matters progress efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate case records and monitor key litigation timelines.


Requirements:

  • Admitted (or eligible for admission) as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
  • Newly Qualified (NQ) to 2 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Civil, Commercial or General Litigation.
  • Practice Trainees with substantial litigation exposure are encouraged to apply.
  • Good understanding of Singapore civil procedure and the Rules of Court.
  • Familiarity with eLitigation and legal research platforms.
  • Strong legal drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and professionalism.
