Legal Consultant – Infrastructure & Commercial (6-Month Assignment) | Singapore
Summary
A 6-month contract role for a commercial lawyer embedded in a fast-growing digital infrastructure group, drafting and negotiating contracts and advising on projects across Asia and Europe.
Who we are
CounselNow is an alternative legal services provider (ALSP) connecting exceptional lawyers with leading organisations through flexible engagements, secondments and managed contract services. With us, you get the best of both worlds — high-quality in-house work with ambitious businesses, and the flexibility to shape your career on your terms.
The assignment
We're working on an exciting assignment with a fast-growing digital infrastructure group headquartered in Singapore, with large-scale projects across Asia and Europe. This full-time assignment will initially run for 6 months, with potential to extend, and will see you embedded in a lean, high-growth in-house legal team.
You'll work across a broad mix of commercial and project matters — drafting and negotiating construction, supply, services and vendor agreements, supporting project development, and advising business teams across multiple jurisdictions. The pace is quick and the problems are novel, so we're looking for a creative, commercially minded lawyer who finds practical solutions rather than simply flagging risk.
To be successful in this assignment, you will:
- Be a qualified commercial lawyer with at least 5 years' PQE, gained in private practice or in-house
- Ideally bring experience in infrastructure, energy, construction or large-scale technology projects
- Be comfortable operating autonomously and partnering directly with business stakeholders
- Be available for a full-time assignment commencing in the near term
Desirable (not essential): familiarity with the Chinese regulatory landscape, given the client's regional footprint.
