Legal Counsel (1 year contract)

About Our Client

Our client is a globally established energy and commodity trading organisation with an extensive global footprint across major trading hubs.

Provide practical legal advice to support commercial and trading activities
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
Advise stakeholders on contractual risks and mitigation strategies
Support dispute management, negotiations and resolution processes
Partner with business teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting operations and recommend appropriate actions
Work closely with management on strategic legal and corporate matters

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution
Minimum 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience, Oil & Gas/Shipping Trading
Experience in commercial contracts and legal advisory work
Strong contract drafting, analytical and negotiation capabilities
Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively with stakeholders
Exposure to litigation, trade law, commodity trading, shipping law or related sectors will be advantageous
Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving
