As our Legal Counsel, you will be part of our legal team and report to our Head of Legal. You will mainly be an employment attorney and will be in close dialogue and have interactions with several stakeholders both in Denmark and abroad.

You will work from our head office in Fredericia.

Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel serves mainly as a trusted advisor on employment law matters, working closely with HR-related functions to ensure compliance with employment and collective bargaining requirements, while supporting dispute resolution, supplier contracts, and broader corporate legal matters.

Employment & Collective Agreement Support

• Serve as a key legal advisor on matters relating to the Industrial Agreement, Local Agreements, and employment law compliance.

• Collaborate with Payroll, Project Resources, and People & Culture to ensure consistent application of collective bargaining and employment requirements.

• Develop and maintain policies, guidance, and employment frameworks supporting compliance with collective agreements and applicable legislation.

• Manage engagement with external legal counsel on complex employment and labor law matters.

• Design and deliver training and awareness initiatives to strengthen understanding of the Industrial Agreement and Local Agreements throughout the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Interdepartmental Cooperation: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and other departments to ensure a thorough understanding of contractual obligations and risks.

Qualification/Requirements

• Legal Qualifications: Master of Laws, cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent.

• Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial regulations, with 3-5 years of experience in international commercial transactions and corporate law, either at a law firm or as in-house counsel. Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents and communicating complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders in English.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with various departments and stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing and drafting contracts.

• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve contractual issues. Strong commercial mindset enabling you to balance legal requirements with the commercial drivers and goals of the company.

• Language: Fluency in English is required, as it is the corporate language.
