Legal Counsel / Attorney / Legal Manager - Cairo

Sutherland is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel / Attorney / Legal Manager with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably within BPO, outsourcing, consulting, technology, or service-industry organizations (similarly situated as Sutherland). The role will provide legal support across Egypt and Dubai/UAE, with a strong focus on commercial contracts, outsourcing transactions, and operational legal matters. Legal Managers in this role get to:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, LOIs, lease agreements, and service agreements with customers and vendors.
  • Lead negotiations for high-value outsourcing and professional services contracts with multinational customers within US, EU and UK.
  • Draft and negotiate professional services, teaming agreements, software development, software licensing, SAAS and technology-related agreements and other contracts with vendors and suppliers for Egypt and Dubai region.
  • Provide day-to-day legal support for Egypt and Dubai/UAE operations, including commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters.
  • Advise on all corporate, board and secretarial matters relating to Egypt and Dubai entities, handle board matters and board resolutions and related corporate compliance relating to the laws of Egypt and Dubai operations and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, HR, and senior management to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice.
  • Act as a solid support to business and operations team for new markets, regions, and business expansion across Middle East Region.

Our most successful candidates will have:

  • Law degree and qualification/admission to practice in Egypt.
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in BPO, outsourcing, consulting, technology, or service industries.
  • Written and Spoken fluency in English & Arabic. (Minimum C2 level)
  • Strong multinational experience in commercial contracts, services agreements, outsourcing, professional services, software development, and licensing transactions.
  • Experience supporting Egypt and UAE/Dubai legal matters. (preferred)
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to draft contracts in English and communicate effectively in English through conference calls, emails, and business discussions.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial law, and regulations.
  • Strong business acumen, risk assessment, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong team building and people-development skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
